  • At City of Bridges Lacrosse Foundation, we believe every child should have the opportunity to play lacrosse—regardless of background, financial status or access to resources. Our mission is to increase access to lacrosse in Pittsburgh by providing free community play days, equipment donations, coaching and mentorship as well as school partnerships.

  • We envision a Pittsburgh where every child has the chance to experience the benefits of lacrosse:

    • Leadership & Teamwork - Teaching valuable life skills on and off the field

    • Community & Opportunity - Creating a network of support for young athletes

    By introducing lacrosse to more neighborhoods and schools, we aim to make the sport accessible, inclusive, and community-driven

  • Did you know?

    Only one Pittsburgh public high school offers varsity lacrosse and there are even fewer opportunities for Middle School and Elementary students. Many kids have never had the chance to play due to lack of programs, equipment, and financial barriers.

    We are here to change that. By working with schools, coaches, and community leaders, we’re creating a sustainable lacrosse ecosystem that welcomes all players-especially those who have been historically absent from the sport.

OUR STORY

City of Bridges Lacrosse Foundation was founded out of a passion for both lacrosse and community. We saw firsthand how access to sports can shape a kid’s future, but we also recognized the gaps in lacrosse opportunities for Pittsburgh’s youth. Growing up outside the city with more available resources, we wanted to bring that opportunity to the city we now call home.

Through grassroots efforts, fundraising, and the support of local lacrosse advocates, we launched this foundation to ensure that no child in Pittsburgh is left on the sidelines.
